Delete your Silsilay account

In the app

Open Silsilay and go to Profile → Settings → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Sign in with the email and password of the account you want to delete. This deletes the account immediately and cannot be undone.

Can't sign in? Email privacy@silsilay.pk from the address you signed up with, and we will delete the account once we have confirmed the request came from that address.

What happens to your data

• Your login is removed: your email address and password go, so nobody can sign in as you, and your phones stop receiving notifications.
• What identifies you is cleared: your name, email, profile photo and home details.
• What you shared stays, without your name: messages in family chats, feed posts, event comments, and the polls and events you created remain where they are, shown as “Deleted member”, so the conversations and plans other families were part of still make sense.
• Your family: if you have a Partner, they keep the family, its kids and its connections. If you don't, the kids you added are hidden and their details cleared.
• Safety records: reports you made, and reports about content you shared, are kept so we can meet our safety and legal obligations.
